How do I setup Single Sign On?

I want learners to able to login with their regular Microsoft credentials.

If you'd like SSO, just let us know. There's no extra charge.

Matobo Learning uses the simple Microsoft "popup" login dialogue with an easy user journey.  The system uses the learner's corporate email suffix to invoke the Microsoft SSO popup box.

It means you can have your corporate staff using SSO, with external staff - eg freelancers or volunteers with their own personal email addresses - on passphrase login.

Admins: Once we activate SSO, it's a simple case of making sure the first person who accesses Matobo Learning with SSO signs the Microsoft Ts & Cs on behalf of your organisation - anyone with Admin privileges on your IT system.

That's it - SSO is then up and running. Here's an outline of the learner journey through SSO:

  1. Your learner goes to matobolearning.co.uk and enters their corporate email address in the login box.
  2. The system immediately recognises they'e an SSO customer and the passphrase field disappears.
  3. They select Log in and the Microsoft popup dialogue appears:

The first time the learner logs in with SSO, they will be asked to select the sub group they belong to (before you launch, we'll help you choose sub group names to help ensure that each learner's selection of the correct sub group is intuitive and simple.)

Once they get past this sub group selector page, they will be allocated to their sub group and they won't have to select it again.

That's it!
